**Logic Gate:-Manipulation of binary information is done by Logic circuit called gates.Gates are the block of hardware that produce signal in the binary form 0 or 1.**

**Type of logic circuit/gate:Its mainly divided into 2 types:-**

**1)Basic Gate.**

**2)Universal Gate.**

**Basic Gate:-Basic gate is divided into 3 categories:**

**1)Logical AND Operator:-AND operator represented by (.) sign.**

**AND Gate(Graphic Symbol):-**

**Universal gates:-In Computer Architecture,2 type of Universal gates used, namely NAND and NOR.**

**1)NAND:-NAND gate is just apposite to AND gate.While AND gate gives o/p 1 when both input are 1 but it gives 0.**

**2)NOR:-NOR**

**Special Gates:-XOR and XNOR are the special gates.**
